Sports day records, a first soccer win and netball returns

Primary School Sports Day was held on 3 September, moved a day early because of the weather forecast. The children had a lot of fun, especially during the water fight.

Several athletics records were broken this year, including Rhys Whitton (Class 10) in the 800m, Olivia Goetsch (Class 9) in the 800m, and Sienna Davisworth, Alwande Mncube and Minenhle Sibisi (Class 7) in shot put and javelin.

On 9 September our High School soccer team won its first match of the year, 5 to 3, after a great game with many good goals. This term Roseway also fielded its first High School netball team in about seven years. The girls lost their first match, but had a great time and learnt a great deal. Well done to every player for starting something new.
