Cross country season and clubs round-up

Cross country. Our runners tackled a variety of challenging courses this season and showed great growth in fitness and in their personal goals. We were also proud to host both the primary and high school inter-school cross country events. Thank you to the parents who transported and cheered on the team, to the staff who marshalled on the day, and to Ms McCutcheon and Ms Potgieter for their encouragement every Friday.

Inter-house results. High School: 1st Pegasus, 2nd Gryphon, 3rd Phoenix. Primary School: 1st Phoenix, 2nd Pegasus, 3rd Gryphon.

Origami. On Tuesdays, students from Classes 3 to 7 folded boats, hearts, butterflies and boxes from square sheets of paper, practising patience and fine motor skills. Older Class 7 students helped the younger ones with tricky folds.

Punch needle. The club completed textured aerial view canvases, from foamy seas to mountains and fields of flowers.

Dance. Our Irish and ballet dancers performed at the Arts Festival and took part in two Irish dancing competitions, and our ballroom and Latin group is preparing for its first medal test. Thank you to instructors Charmaine Kelly and Vera Castleman.
